The MKIV... $30,000

That's how much my one has cost me by the time i added up the real cost of all the travelling and loss of income from seeking out the waves needed to put this design through it's paces. When you buy one of these you are buying more than $30,000 worth of research and development.

My quest to ride the twin keel fishes to higher levels of performance, especially in more serious waves and yet still keep it a fun board for tiny powerless waves, is the driving force behind the continual improvements to the design. I have spent extended periods over the last 3 or 4 years dragging this design halfway around the world from the remote reef breaks of Indo, to the powerful barrels of the north west desert and all the way to the far reaches of the Pacific. I have sat patiently (most of the times...ha! ha!) for weeks, waiting for the waves to explore the limits of this design.

And the end result has been well worth it. This really is an unbelievable board! The MKIII was already a finely tuned performance machine capable of riding waves from 1 - 8ft but the MKIV is another level again. The speed, power and glide of this board is truly a beautiful thing to experience.

I know that most of my customers who have grabbed previous versions of my performance fish have enjoyed them so much that they stopped riding their other boards.  If you're thinking about grabbing one of these, be prepared to put the rest of your quiver away for a while...

If you haven't got one of these, you're missing out....seriously!

Mine might have cost me $30,000 but you can get your one for a whole lot less.

Prices start at $975!

NOW AVAILABLE AS A QUAD!

The MKIV Quad

The MKIII Quad is the same shape as the MKIII twin but with 4 fins instead of 2. The quads feel a little different than the twins, offering a little more hold and control particularly through tighter turns. They still glide much faster and freer than a thruster but not quite as much as a twin keel set up.

Features

  • Improved the entry rocker…..so that you can push them harder, especially in critical situations
  • A deeper concave out the tail…for better control at high speeds and in critical turns
  • Increased fin toe in…..to produce all round better handling and control and a more stable response
  • Low rail for control and holding power through critical turns
  • Twin long base keel fins or removable Futures quad fins

Dimensions

  • Length – ride them anywhere from your own body height to 4” longer
  • Width – generally around 20 ¼” but available from 19 ¾ - 20 ½”

Customer Feedback

Just thought I'd give you some feedback on the mk 1V fish you shaped for me .Ive had three great surfs on the fish in shoulder to overhead waves so far and have found it has awesome paddle power, great entry speed on take off and when driven hard through turns has that feeling of accelerating release , a quality ive only experienced on one other board in 35 years of surfing ! Hence to say im really stoked . Hope to catch you on your next trip to margarets. Many Thanks, Max .....6'5" MKIV

Geday Jim,well ive been riding the MKIV in all kinds of surf and i just cant believe it!!its the perfect board ive been searching for for yrs!! so much drive and fast ,unreal to paddle..it feels like a short board but just so much better to ride...im shocked Jim!!! thank you so much!!! brad ....6'0" MKIV

Hey!! the new board goes unreal. We picked them up Friday and me and Hammo had a great surf at Inji point. I love the new MKIV rocker. I found looser but still very positive in turns, great on the late drops and super fast. I couldn’t get off it all weekend!! The boys are stoked as well. I had a surf out at Margies with big Max and he paddled back out after his first wave with a grin so big it nearly split his head open!! Gary Bennet ....6'5" MKIV
